LASER CUTTING

Using the latest CO2 laser cutting solutions, n-Deavor is able to realise your projects on a wide variety of materials, including but limited to:

  • Plastics:
    • Acrylic / Perspex – up to 10mm thick as standard
    • Polycarbonate (Lexan) – up to 0.5mm thick
    • Polyester (Mylar) – up to 1mm thick before there can be warping issues
    • Polypropylene – thinner is better
    • Delrin – great structural material for jigs, fixings and component parts
    • Gravoply / Rowmark – these are laminated materials with the top later engraved to reveal the lower substrate. Easy to then cut the required profile. Typically up to 1.5mm thickness
    • PVC and Teflon: Sorry but it is not safe to cut these materials with a laser as they contain Chlorine & Fluorine respectively.
    • Flexible Magnetic Sheets – These cut great with a laser, but get a data sheet to determine the material composition as they can contain Chlorine.
  • Wood – typically it is possible to up to about 12mm thick depending on material density.
    • All hard and soft woods
    • MDF
    • PLY
    • Bamboo
    • Balsa
    • Wood Laminates
  • Foams – up to 25mm thickness
    • High density foams are best
  • Fabrics – most fabrics cut well with the cut heat sealed.
  • Leather – up to about 4mm thick (smells terrible by the way)
  • Rubber – Certain rubbers will cut when thin, but get a data sheet to determine the material composition as they can contain Chlorine.
