VINYL DECALS

Vinyl decals are typically single coloured graphics, although it is possible to have multicoloured decals by layering the colours.

  • Carpark Signs

How to apply vinyl decals

  1. Clean the surface. Ensure there is no dust, grease or fingerprints that can weaken the adhesive grip, causing peeling later on.
    1. Depending on the surface, you can consider using IPA, magic sponges or microfibre cloths.
  2. The decal will have been supplied as a three layer product;
    1. The release liner
    2. The self adhesive vinyl decal
    3. Low tack transfer tape
  3. Peel the low lack transfer tape from the release liner, taking the vinyl decal with it.
  4. Align the decal as required on the surface and apply. Use your squeegee to press down firmly on the vinyl, ensuring there are no air bubbles
  5. Once the decal is firmly applied, slowly remove the low tack transfer tape
  6. That’s it, you’ve just applied your first vinyl decal.
